EMPLOYERS – REVIEW RULES ON TIPS

With effect from 1 October 2024 Employers must now pay tips to staff in full and allocate them fairly.

The Government has published non-statutory guidance on distributing tips to help Employers follow  the statutory Code of Practice on Fair and Transparent Distribution of Tips.

The Guidance covers rules on agency workers, multiple sites of operation and which jobs should be included for tips. It also includes a template tipping policy and record.
